Maria Teresa Recupero and William James English were united in marriage Oct. 1, 2017, at Veritas Vineyard & Winery, Afton, Virginia.
The bride is the daughter of Anthony L. Recupero and Leigh Berlew Recupero, of West Pittston. She is the granddaughter of Robert and Charlotte McAndrew Berlew, of Avoca, and Nancy Palermo Recupero, of West Pittston, and the late Anthony L. Recupero Jr.
The groom is the son of William J. English, of Sebastian, Florida, and Betty Panas English and John Kastaleba, of West Wyoming. He is the grandson of the late Casimir John and Mary Louise Long Panas and Georgianna Woelfel English, of Painted Post, New York, and the late William J. English.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Nancy Recupero, and friend, Mary Vanesko, as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Grace Berlew, Kelly Connors and Lindsay Hohler. The groom chose his sister, Victoria English, as his best woman. Groomsmen were Todd Burns, Kurtis Cooper and Paul White. The couple’s dog, Khala, served as flower dog and Andrew Halko was dog handler/ring bearer.
Readings were by the mothers of the bride and groom. Austin O’Malley, uncle of the bride, and Clelia Reardon and Sadie Rose deWall provided music for the ceremony. The Rev. Bhavani Metro officiated.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Seton Catholic High School and received a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations from The Pennsylvania State University in 2005. She is vice president at Boston-based marketing agency Partners & Simons.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Abington Heights High School and received a bachelor’s degree in labor and industrial relations from The Pennsylvania State University in 2004. He is employed as a health and wellness consultation in Washington, D.C.
A honeymoon trip to Europe or Southeast Asia is being planned.
