Invoices have been mailed for the 2018 sanitation fee.
All residences in West Wyoming must purchase a sticker.
The cost remains the same as last year, $200. If purchased before Jan. 31, senior citizens (65 and older) will receive a $25 rebate ($175), all others receive a $15 rebate ($185). If purchased from Feb. 1-28, the full price will be charged.
After Feb. 28, the cost will be $300 for the year and citations will be filed with the district magistrate for noncompliance with the ordinance.
Payment for the sanitation bill can be sent to West Wyoming Borough Building, 464 West 8th Street, West Wyoming PA, 18644. For the added convenience of residents, credit cards are accepted.
Exeter Borough is now doing single-stream recycling. Pickup will still be on Mondays.
All recyclable items can now be placed in the same container and can be placed out weekly.
A flyer is in the white rural mailbox in front of the borough building with a list of what can and cannot be put out.
Everything on the calendar is still recyclable with the exception of shredded paper, which will now go out with your regular garbage.
Also, there are new items are on the new list. Yard waste will still be on Thursdays.
Regular garbage is still on Wednesdays.
Please do not use the yellow recycling bins for garbage.
Place your bags in regular garbage cans.
There is a three-bag limit no matter what size the bag is, as long as it is under 30 pounds.
Do not place six or seven small bags in your garbage can. Condense them into a larger bag.
Placing the garbage in a refuse can reduces the likelihood of an animal opening it.
If animals do open your garbage, it is the homeowner’s responsibility to clean it up.
Refuse, recyclables and yard waste are to be placed curbside the night before pickup or by 6 a.m. the morning of collection.
